Andrea Lynn Eyre

June 19, 1991 — July 18, 2021

Andrea Eyre, beloved daughter and sister, passed away unexpectantly on July 18 th ,
2021, at the age of 30.

Andrea was born in Ridgecrest, CA to Vince and Vickie Eyre on June 19 th , 1991.
She attended Burroughs High School and graduated from California Baptist
University School of Engineering with a bachelor degree in Mechanical
Engineering. Andrea started working at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons
Division - China Lake when she was 16, and continued working there for many
years after graduation. While in school, she participated in engineering
competitions (her favorite was the annual Pumpkin Chunkin Trebuchet event),
she enjoyed traveling with her roommates and spent time with fellow CBU
engineers building water filtration systems in China. After college, Andrea was
highly active in STEM educational programs for students in Junior High and High
School and supported engineer recruiting events across California for the base.

Andrea was a dedicated dog mom, first and foremost. She treasured her pups,
Sadie and Chloe, and loved every crazy moment with them. As a child and
teenager, Andrea enjoyed camping with her family and friends, along with fishing
in the nearby creeks. Somehow, she always caught the biggest fish every time.
She was a Disney fan and tried to visit Disneyland with her friends and family at
least twice a year, especially during Christmastime. Andrea could out drive her
father and grandfather on the golf course, which led to her playing for BHS and
CBU. She liked going on movie dates with her mother and sister, loved spending
time with her friends from school and work, was highly competitive at card games
and enjoyed frequent "sister trips" filled with endless laughter. She also excelled
as an audio tech for RCA and BHS, where she won a state trial and represented
California in a National Electronic Media Competition. Andrea liked trying new
recipes; most were good, but a few triggered the smoke alarm. As a young adult,
she spent many weekends at events across California with the local Ford Mustang
Club, showing off her blue "Mustang Sally".

We are thankful for the many friends, teachers, coaches, teammates, coworkers,
club members, religious advisors and family members for making an impact in her
life. When you think of Andrea, please celebrate the good memories you have of
her. Remember life is short and should be lived to the fullest.

Andrea leaves behind her parents, Vince and Vickie Eyre of Ridgecrest, CA; sister,
April (Paul) Nelson of Ridgecrest, CA; loving pets, Chloe and Sadie; uncles, aunts,
cousins and many friends.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please hug a loved one… friend or family, it does not matter,
just hug them.
