Barbara Byerly passed away in September of 2026. Barbara was a native Californian, who grew up in the small farming community of Ferndale, California and graduated from Fortuna High School. She held a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University and taught at the Ridgecrest Charter School prior to her retirement.

Barbara is preceded in death by her mother Althea and father Robert Strong. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of forty-six years Terry Byerly, their three children, Jason, Willow, and William. Her six grandchildren, Zander, Wyatt, Savanaha, Atticus, Jameson, and Opal. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Lloyd, Roy, Roberta, Aletha, Tom and their families.
