Bernard Joseph Szczypiorski

Bernard Joseph Szczypiorski Sr. died on January 13, 2024, at his home, in Ridgecrest California. He was 86.

Bernard grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school, he joined the Navy to serve his country. In 1960 he married the Love of His Life, Geri and in 1963 they moved to China Lake and raised a family. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus and the NWC All Faith Chapel Catholic Community, where everyone just called him "Ski".

Bernard is survived by his children Kathryn Shindel (Kevin), Marie Zurn-Kopp (Jeff), Bernie Szczypiorski (Sondra), Gina Szczypiorski (Renee Bustos), 11 Grandchildren, and 15 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Betty Ann O'Rourke, Bernadette Wilson, and Barbara Shearstone.

Bernard was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Szczypiorski (nee Smith), his son Michael Szczypiorski, his parents Alexander and Elizabeth Szczypiorski, his brothers Robert Szczypiorski and William Szczypiorski.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., on January 26, 2024, at St. Ann's Church, 446 W. Church Ave, Ridgecrest, CA 93555.
