Billy Furl Pemberton was born in Lone Jack, Missouri, on September 25, 1932. He moved to
Ridgecrest, California, in 1999, where he passed away on August 12, 2021. Billy retired as a
TSGT from the United States Air Force in 1972, where he served for 21 years as an Airframe
Repair Technician specializing in sheet metal fabrications. He then, went on to work for 17
years as a HVAC Technician. He was known for being a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and he
primarily wore KC Chiefs Attire during his retirement years. Billy enjoyed football and
baseball, but most of all he loved God, and spending time with his family and friends. He is
preceded in death by his wife Judy Marie Bink Pemberton; brothers Clyde and James Pemberton;
sisters Grace Pemberton Saylor, Edna Pemberton Marble, Viola Pemberton Arrington, Nancy
Pemberton Rogers, and Mary Pemberton Hale. He is survived by his daughters, Dawna (Fred)
Lawlis from Tehachapi; Pam (Daniel) Grattan from Ridgecrest, and Dee Pemberton (Robert
Boudreau Jr.) from Merced; sister, Ramona Pemberton Kennedy from Auburn; seven
grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Visitation is at Holland and Lyons Chapel on
Thursday, August 19 th , 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Services will be held at Leroy Jackson Park,
Ridgecrest, on Friday, August 20 th at 10:00 a.m. please bring a lawn chair if you wish to sit.
Graveside services to follow at Desert Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made
to: Immanuel Baptist Church, 1201 North China Lake Blvd, Ridgecrest, CA 93555.
