Blanka Black passed away at age 89 on July 18, 2023, after a long and full life. Blanka was predeceased by her husband Archie and her son Clay. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Collette & Mike Theis.
Her early life was hard. Blanka grew up in Rotenberg, Germany during WWII. Her family home was taken over by the Nazi's. She survived and found happiness when she met and married Army Master Sergeant Archie Black, who arrived with the American Forces. From that day on she was able to travel the world. She hunted in Africa, went camping in France, Italy and Spain and fished in Alaska.
Blanka loved to go camping and fishing. One memory is her proudly displaying an 85 pound fish. Archie displayed a smaller fish. Funny thing is she caught both fish.
Blanka will be missed.
