It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Lewis Albright, who left this world on October 31, 2024, at the age of 57, following complications from early onset Alzheimer's disease.
Born on July 20, 1967, in Ridgecrest, California, Brian grew up in the rugged beauty of the Mojave Desert and the Sierra Nevada mountains. A graduate of St. Ann's Catholic School, James Monroe Jr. High, and Burroughs High School, Brian maintained strong ties to his community, where he cultivated lasting friendships and built a reputation as someone who cared deeply for others. From a young age, he developed an adventurous spirit that led him to embrace a life full of outdoor pursuits. As a passionate mountain biker, he found peace and joy navigating the trails of his beloved desert landscape. Whether he was riding through the Rademacher Hills, racing down a mountain path in Mammoth, or simply taking in the sunset from his bike, the outdoors provided Brian with a sense of peace and fulfillment.
Brian dedicated 26 years of his life to working at Searles Valley Minerals, where he earned the respect and admiration of many. He took great pride in his work, forging lasting relationships and always striving to serve others. After his retirement, he fought to stay active and cherish time with his family and friends. Throughout his adult life, Brian was also a devoted member of Crossroads Community Church, where he grew in his faith and found fulfillment in worshiping alongside his wife and church family. His commitment to serving others was deeply rooted in his faith, and he lived it out through his work with Power Ministries. Brian dedicated countless hours to building homes, schools, and churches in underserved communities in Mexico, where his hands-on involvement embodied his belief in the power of service and community. His love for Christ and his desire to share that love with others changed the lives of many and was one of the most meaningful parts of his life.
Above all, Brian's greatest joy came from his family. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was deeply proud of his loved ones. His family was his heart, and he poured love and wisdom into his children, stepchildren, and grandchildren, always striving to be a steady source of support, encouragement, and guidance. Brian's love for them was unwavering, and he considered them his greatest blessing.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy; his parents, Lewis and Mary; his brothers, Joel (Becky) and Marc (Gen); his children, Ciara, Dylan, Danielle, Kaylee, and Anthony; his stepchildren, Ryan, Taylor, and Ashton; and his cherished 11 grandchildren.
Brian's legacy is one of faith, love, and selfless service. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the lives of those he touched, and his example of devotion to God and others will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Crossroads Community Church, 235 N. China Lake Blvd, Ridgecrest, California. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Power Ministries, an organization that was near and dear to Brian's heart.
