Carolyn Ann Hanks

Carolyn Ann Hanks was born June 20, 1937 in Ripley Oklahoma to Francis and Eva Wells. She was adopted by Hoyt and Mavontiena Barker at age 12. She moved to Trona from Snyder Oklahoma in 1953. She called Trona home for seventy one years. She raised five children there while working at the family business Massey and Son lumber yard. She married Claren(Sonny) Hanks on January 27, 1973 and gained Two children. She enjoy CB hunts and Camping with her husband of 50 years. She worked for Western Auto in Trona and in Ridgecrest. She retired in 2002 from the Post Office on the base. She was proceeded in death by her birth and adopted parents. By her husband Claren(Sonny) Hanks, Her sons Johnie and Harold(Buster) Massey, step son Claren Hanks, Her sister Debby Smith. She is survived by sisters Ginger Harksmith, Anita(Doc) Starns, Donna(John) Florer, Brothers Francis(Linda) Wells, Larry(Barbara) Wells. Children Zana(Charlie) Eisenhour, Wayne(Sandy) Massey. Tammy(Jim) Cicalese. Billy(Sue) Massey, Terry Vaughn. Grandchildren, Eddie(Karina) Funke, Justin(Kara) Tolbert, Jonathan(Christy) Massey Ryan(Krista) Massey, Randy Massey, Stephanie(Chris) Mogg, Wayne(Kristy) Massey, Danny(Amber) Massey, Beth(Travis) Ball, Rebecca(Chris) Greenshields, Billy(Lori) Massey, Misty(Ronnie) Bogle, Andrew Vaughn, And many great and great great Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews.

Services will be Saturday February 3, 2024 at 2:00pm at Christian Fellowship of Trona. 83435 Trona Rd. Trona, California. Graveside to follow and a reception. Family ask in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
