Chanin René (Edge) Young

Chanin was born on May 5 th , 1970, in Houston, Texas. . She moved to Ridgecrest, CA, with her
Mom in 1985. She graduated from Burroughs High School in 1989. Music was her life; she
began singing with bands immediately after high school and made many friends in the Indian
Wells Valley and surrounding areas. In singing with these bands, she met her husband, Johnny
Young, in 2005 and they were married two years later. In 2011, the Youngs returned to Texas
and settled in New Braunfels. Chanin was a very successful Mary Kay consultant and was
actively pursuing that career along with her music. Chanin went to be with her Savior, Jesus
Christ, on the morning of July 3 rd , 2024.

She is survived by her parents, Micki and Rob Mc Artor, her husband, Johnny, her children
Samantha and Josh Scholfield, and Trinity Young, her grandchildren Riley and Levi Scholfield,
and her Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mike Medve, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
