Charles James Chapin

Charles James Chapin 52 years old passed away on July 19, 2023 at his home in
Ridgecrest California.

Charles life may have been cut short, but he touched the hearts of many while he was
with us. Charles was born on September 1, 1970 to parents Clarence Chapin and Sadie Witt in
Jacksonville Florida where he lived his life to the fullest working in the construction
business, fishing and enjoying being with his friends and family. Suffering with a heart
condition Charles moved to Ridgecrest CA in 2013 to be with his Mama, younger
brother and his nieces and nephews living in Ridgecrest.

Charles was survived by his brothers and their wives Fred and Whitney Chapin,
Johnathan and Amber Chapin, his half-sister Jessica, Predeceased father Clarence
Chapin, his step father and mother James and Sadie Witt, nieces and nephews; Peyton,
Jacob, Vivian and David Hill and their son Luka, Ryan, Hayden, Rylie and Kellan and
his beloved Dog "Buddy".

Charles was a very affectionate and caring soul. He loved and lived for his family and
friends. Charles love of his life was his mama. Charles would come visit his mama and
talk for hours. If his mama was cleaning, he would always offer to help by dusting the
high places. Charles always would enjoy immensely family camp trips. He loved
fishing, but his favorite time was just hanging around the fire.

Charles had a big heart and would offer the shirt off his back to help others. Charles
was always helping other less fortune than himself by doing whatever he could. He had
little but would make the best of it. He loved to make people smile. If he seen a friend
or even a stranger being sad, he would make an attempt to make them smile. As a
matter of fact, his nick name from his friends was always "Smiley".

Charles made an impression and touched the lives of those around him. His smile and
generous fun-loving nature and big heart will be forever missed.
Charles was blessed with a loving family and his loving companion "his dog Buddy".
Services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Holland & Lyons Mortuary 12:00
P.M. Ridgecrest CA.

Reception will be held at Casey Steak and Barbeque House following services.
