Charles Dewayne Griffin was born June 20, 1950 in Ridgecrest Ca to Leroy and Louise Griffin.  Charles achieved his life's pursuit of entering heaven's gate January 5, 2023 surrounded by the love of his life, his children, and his grand/ great grandchildren nearby.

Charles married the love of his life Donna on Sept 27,1969. They were married for just over 53 years. Together they started a family, full of traditions, foundations, and devoted their life to God, the church, and their children. Charles was the owner of High Desert Excavating. Charles alongside Donna joined the Salvation Army and became Envoys. He was a pastor, mentor, and support system for over 20 years to the Ridgecrest community. He traveled in many southern gospel quartets throughout his life spreading his ministry.

One of Charles passion was singing, he always had a song in his heart, whether driving down the road, at church, in the house, or hours before God called him home. His voice was mighty, full of praise and love for God. His foundation was strong in music, and was his greatest ministry.

Charles greatest accomplishment and passion was his family, He was the foundation, the pillar, the comforter, the provider, and their best friend. Charles enjoyed watching, and supporting his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren from attending pop Warner- through college football games, baseball games, softball games, basketball games, rodeo, dance, racing and many other life events. He enjoyed hunting trips, fishing/ lobster trips, lake adventures, and family vacations. Everything in his life was centered around his family.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Louise Griffin, brothers Jerry (Shirley) Griffin, Larry (Shyrrell) Griffin and daughter Kathy.  He is survived by his wife Donna, children Chuck (Ronda) Griffin, Kimberly (Ben) Narramore, Jason (Heather) Griffin, Melissa Griffin, Sister Joyce Cole, 21 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Charles left many footprints, impressions, and impacted many people lives during his time on earth. He left his mark on this world in many ways. He was a pillar of faith, a member of the community, and a father figure to many.

Charles leaves his family with grieving hearts and a large void. He left them a legacy, a footprint, memories to get them through life and a path to see him again one day.   His faith in God resides in his family, they find comfort knowing he is in heaven po rejoicing, singing, and reunited with his love ones.

The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. They thank everyone for their continued prayers.
