Charles Michael Verity

Charles (Chuck) Michael Verity Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 16, 2019, he was 69 years young.  Chuck was born on December 26, 1949 in Kalamazoo, MI to James and Katherine Verity. He was the 2 nd oldest of 11 kids. Chuck enlisted in the Army in September 1969 and served our country during the Vietnam War.   He started working for the USPS in 1974 while enlisted in the reserves. Chuck worked for the USPS for 35 years as a mail carrier and retired from the Ridgecrest Post Office in 2009.  In his retirement, he loved working on classic cars and his house. He loved working on and riding his Harley Davidson and playing his guitar. He was a kind hearted, generous and stubborn man that had accomplished all he wanted to do while he was on this earth.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents James and Katherine Verity, brother's Thomas Verity, Robert Verity and best friend/ brother, James Tedder.  He is survived by his son CJ Verity (Shinta) of Ridgecrest, daughter Kathy Hileman (Barry) of Ridgecrest, daughter Annette Verity (Brandon Sosebee) of Ridgecrest, daughter Stephanie Williams (Lennis) of Vacaville, and his adopted extended family Thomas and Karli Tedder, Jamie and Tom O'Malley.  He is also survived by his 6 grandkids, Joshua Hoggard, David Lopez, Jocelyn Hoggard, Bryce Essam, Jayden Verity and Ethan Essam. Chuck is also survived by his brothers Jim Verity of Midwest City, OK, Dennis Verity (Linda) of Lancaster, CA, Rick Verity of Reno, NV, Paul Verity of Lancaster, CA, Jack Verity of Weiser, ID, and Mike Verity (Patty) of Weiser, ID and sister Rosemary Verity of Midwest City, OK.  He is survived by countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, March 1 from 5-8 at Holland and Lyons. Services will be Saturday, March 2 at 10:30 at Holland and Lyons with graveside services to follow at Desert Memorial Park.
