Cheryl and her parents came to China Lake in the early 40s and lived at 402 B. Forrestal. She attended elementary school and middle school, graduation from Burroughs. She attended Bakersfield College where she received her teaching degree. She finished out her career after 30 years. She enjoyed her career immensely.

Cheryl enjoyed traveling with her husband Bruce. If you saw one the other was always close by. She will be missed. Cheryl is preceded in death by her husband Bruce. Survived by Kimberly (Gary) Burke, Rob (Jana) Bernhardi. Grandchildren: Amber (Mike) Cook, Jarrett (Jodi) Burke, Jayden (Russty) Robinson, Kirsten Bernhardi, Daniel Bernhardi and Drew Bernhardi. 12 great grandchildren: Rick, Rilee Alexandra, Eilah, Salome’, Malia, Rhaya, Lilly, Jackson, Case, Navy, Denver, and Rivie.

Service at Holland & Lyons Mortuary on July 17, 2026 at 12PM. Reception will be announced at the service.
