Claudet Irene Meyers passed away on Father's Day, June 18, 2023. She was 84.

Born April 4, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, Claudet graduated from Banning High School in 1957. She moved to Ridgecrest in 1958 from Wilmington, Calif. She was an office manager for the U.S. government and retired from her position at China Lake in 2004.

Claudet enjoyed genealogy, crafts, and attending church, and was a temple worker in Los Angeles.

Claudet is survived by her son, Frederick D. Sottile, Jr., of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Heather I. R. Meyers, of Bellingham, Wash.; sisters Joanne Covert, of Ridgecrest, Patricia Clayton, of Conway, Ariz., and Elizabeth Kocinski, of Lexington Park, Maryland; and six grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Claud D. and Ilo E. (Conner) McMillan, of Ridgecrest; son, Ted J. Williams; sister, Lydia Reid; and brother, Claud D. McMillian II.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 1, at 10 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1031 S. Norma St. Bishop Spencer Hall will officiate.

Her remains will be cremated.
