Curtis Dale Taylor went to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly Saturday September 10th, 2022, he was 88. Curtis was born in 1934 into a family of twelve in the small town of Dustin, Oklahoma. During his childhood, he met the love of his life, Patsy Wootten, in the first grade. Together they were raised by their respective families and were later married in 1955. He then was drafted into the US Army; they were then stationed in Germany for two years. After their return, they settled in Trona, CA where he worked as a Foreman in the boiler room for the Water Treatment Plant for many years. In 1964, he moved to the Foreman position for the NAWS Naval Base in Ridgecrest, remaining there until 1992. Following his retirement from the Base, he began work at the Water Treatment Plant for the City of Inyokern, staying there part time for another 20 years before fully retiring from the water business after almost 50 years. If that was not enough, he also did construction projects around the Indian Wells Valley, including building numerous houses, being his side business for many years. After his "retirement" he spent much of his time volunteering at the Salvation Army, serving his community. He will also be remembered for his love of animals throughout the many years of his life, buying and selling livestock for most of it.
