David Allen Guerrieri Sr.

DAVID ALLEN GUERRIERI, SR

On March 18, 2020 our beloved husband and father, grandfather and friend passed into God's loving care. He was born September 10, 1944 to Elsie Pearl Lauton and Alfred Anthony Guerrieri in Youngstown, Ohio.

Dave graduated from West Leyden High School in Chicago, Illinois June of 1963. Following graduation, he hitch-hiked to California where he enlisted in the United States Navy in San Diego. He served his first enlistment from Sept. 1963 to Sept. 1967. During this time, he met the love of his life; "Ginger." They were married August 27, 1966 and had three children, David Allen (Nadine), Christina Louise (Daniel) and Lori Ann. They adopted Ginger's 2 ^nd cousin, Dale Leon, in 1986.

Following his discharge, Dave held numerous jobs as well as continuing his education at Bakersfield Junior College, Cal State University Fullerton and Fullerton Christian College. Following his schooling, he re-enlisted in the Navy and served from 1978 to 1983.

Dave loved the Lord and served him faithfully. He loved to write and wrote numerous religious articles, poetry and was writing a western when he passed. His daughter, Christina, will be completing that work for him.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda, brother John and Uncle Richard.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, MaryJane (Ginger), their children, David, Christina, Lori and Dale, grandchildren Blaine, Robert, Ariana (August) and Sabrina (Brandon) and great grandchildren Autumn and Salem, brothers Alfred (Donna), Vince (Ronny), sister Mary Ann, cousins Jani  and Michael, and numerous nephews and nieces.

There will be a celebration of Dave's life to be announced sometime later this year.
