Obituary for David Darrel Jones
David Darrel Jones, age 74, of Inyokern, California, passed away surrounded by the love and care of his wife, daughters, and extended family on Thursday, July 27th, 2017. He retired from the China Lake Fire Division as an EMT and Firefighter , where he served from June 1983 to April 2001. prior to this, Dave served honorably in the United States Navy from November 1959 to September 1980, to include three combat tours and over three years of service in Vietnam during the war. He was an ardent member of the pro life and catholic communities in Ridgecrest, having converted to roman Catholicism earlier in life. he served at both Saint Ann's Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Desert Chapel.
he is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Carolyn Diane Jones of Inyokern, California: his daughters Elizabeth, Susan, Mary (Katie), Becky, Deanna, Theresa, Rose, Shelby, and Helen; His son Donald; twenty-five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
His wisdom, humor, and tenderness will be greatly missed by all who were close to him, and those who knew him. Funeral services will be held at the All Faith Chapel, NAWS china lake on Friday august 4th at 11AM.
