Delores Faye Metz

Delores Metz, a beloved member of the Ridgecrest, California community, passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 67. Born on September 20, 1955, Delores was the daughter of Ray Isa Kee and Jimmie Davonia Gordon.

In 1973, Delores entered into a lifelong partnership with her loving spouse, Nickoles C. Metz Sr. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising five children who were the center of their world. Delores took immense pride in her children, Nickoles C. Metz Jr., Renee Y. Metz, Amanda M. Metz (with spouse Brandon Hoffman), Melody M. Metz, and Mitchell M. Metz.

As a doting grandmother, Delores adored her fifteen grandchildren, bringing her immeasurable joy throughout her life.

Delores was a dedicated wife, mother and friend. She always put her family first, ensuring that their needs were met and creating a warm and loving home for all. Through the years she had become 'mom' to many more children. She loved to take care of people, and make them feel loved.

On August 9, 2023, Delores succumbed to the devastating effects of cancer, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her unwavering love, compassion, and selflessness will be remembered by her family, friends, and the community that she touched. Delores Metz's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
