Dena Kay Bickley

Dena H. Bickley, a Ridgecrest CA resident since 1986, passed  away peacefully on November 29, 2021, at the age of 72. Dena was born on July 15, 1949, in Wytheville, Virginia. She and her brother William "Bill" L. Henley were born to Ethel and Harless  Franklin Henley. The family relocated to Richmond, Virginia, in 1959.  Dena moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia, in November 1979 when she married Joseph Bynum Bickley, Sr. They had two children; a son, and a daughter, Joseph Bynum, Jr. and Kimberly Paige. They moved to  Ridgecrest, CA, for her health in 1986.

She loved her family and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She loved the Lord and was baptized at the age of 10. As a member  of the Indian Wells Valley Church of Christ, she made efforts to be  present at each worship service every Sunday in spite of her poor  health. She was known by her beautiful voice and many loved to hear her singing hymns.

She was a loving mother, a great cook, and a good homemaker.  She loved to cross-stitch and to grow indoor plants. She was a good  example of what a Christian woman is and she will be missed by  many.

Dena is survived by her husband, Joseph Bynum, Sr.; two  children: her son Joseph Bynum Bickley, Jr. and his wife Satomi, and  her daughter Kimberly Moline; two granddaughters: Danica and  Evelyn Moline; and her brother, Bill. She loved and was loved.
