Dennis Michael Feeney

Dennis Michael Feeney, 81, passed away in Ridgecrest, California on December 16, 2019. Dennis was born on June 04, 1938 in Stockton, California to Frederick and Genevieve Feeney. Dennis and his family moved to Randsburg, California in 1942, where, who knew at that time, he met his future wife at the age of 5 and she was 4. Dennis graduated from Burroughs High School in 1956 and he attended college at Bakersfield College and Mt. Saint Antonio College. He served in the United States Air Force for two years.

Dennis married and lived in La Puente , California where he worked at Placit Plastics until he retired. Upon his first wife passing away, Dennis rekindled a grade school crush and long time family friend, Sarah. Dennis and Sarah married on August 23, 1998 in Randsburg, California, where they originally met.

Dennis and Sarah settled in California City, California where Sarah and her family were long time residence. Dennis worked at the California City prison for 16 years. Sarah and Dennis moved to Ridgecrest and after working as a Corrections Officer, Dennis volunteered with the Kern County Sheriffs Department at the Ridgecrest substation. Dennis volunteered there until his untimely death from Leukemia.

Dennis enjoyed riding his Harley, working on cars, and loved watching Jeopardy.

Dennis is presided in death by his parents and the love of his wife, Sarah. Dennis is survived by his step children, Bernard and Daphne Unhassobiscay of Ridgecrest, Gracianne and Jeff Ashmore of Bakersfield, John Unhassobiscay and Kristie Onaindia of Bakersfield and Catherine and Jan of Ridgecrest; A brother, Orin Wise of Mexico, and a niece Lisa Born of Bakersfield, along with eight grand children and ten great grand children.
