In loving memory of Dolores (Burke) Brown - "Do Do"

Dolores (Burke) Brown, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, gracefully embarked on her journey to be with Jesus on May 6, 2024.

Born in the heart of Los Angeles, CA, on December 24, 1941, Dolores relocated to Ridgecrest with her family at the tender age of 2. She began her educational journey at James Monroe K-8 and proudly graduated from Burroughs High in 1959. Following her graduation, she embarked on a path of continuous learning, completing IBM courses in Los Angeles, CA, showcasing her dedication to personal and professional growth.

Throughout her vibrant life, Dolores lent her exceptional IBM and administrative skills to various esteemed companies across California, including Shell Oil Co., CSC, Quinn Co., Zacky Farms, and Polymer Plastics. Her journey led her back to her hometown of Ridgecrest in 1992, where she embarked on a remarkable career trajectory with Hickman Construction, Monument Bank, Norwest Mortgage Co., World Title Co.,and Boeing Corporation. Even in her leisure time, Dolores found joy in serving others, tending bar at Tommy T's before embracing a well-deserved retirement.

A beacon of warmth and laughter, Dolores, affectionately known as "Do Do" to her family and friends, possessed a laugh that could illuminate any room. Her greatest joy was found in the presence of her beloved grandson, Ian, and her adoration for children, pets, classic movies, music, dancing, and the spirited fandom of The Dallas Cowboys was boundless.

Dolores's allure transcended mere physical beauty; she radiated a profound inner beauty that touched the lives of all who knew her. Her infectious smile, compassionate heart, and radiant soul left an indelible mark on the world around her.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughter, Marie Rand (husband Jeremy), her beloved grandson, Ian Rand, and her cherished nephew, Mike Burke. Dolores is preceded in death by her loving parents, James F Burke and Moneta (Burke) Terrebonne, her step-father, Thomas L Terrebonne, her dear brother, Pat Burke, her nephew, Pat Burke Jr., and her daughter, Dawn Zimmer.

The memory of Dolores will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
