Dora Alicia Cavazos

Long time resident Dora Alicia Cavazos, 83, of Ridgecrest passed away July 30,2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dora was born May 28, 1938 in Weslaco Texas.  Prior to coming to Ridgecrest, as a Navy Wife, she lived in various locations throughout the United States, finally ending up in Lemoore, California.  While in Ridgecrest Dora worked as Security at K-Mart and later as a Tech Librarian at Jacobs.

Dora was very active in the community.  She enjoyed bowling and played in many leagues through the years.

Member and former Auxiliary President of the Eagles Lodge,  Lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW

Her most important role was that of a navy wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by husband of 61 years Jesus Cavazos of Ridgecrest, son Javier of Fairview, Texas, and son Jesus Jr. of Ridgecrest.

Grandchildren: Joseph, Crystal, Jesse, Michael, Jeremy (recently deceased), Vanessa, Joshua

Great-Grandchildren: Elliot, Rio, Amorie, Estella, Roman, Nathaniel, Paul and Elliana

Brothers and Sisters: Rolando, Carlos, Jaime, Porfidio, Jorge, Estella

Preceded in death by daughter, Jeanette Jacobs in 2014

Also preceded in death by brothers and sister: Gilbert, Felipe, Robert, Rosie, and parents: Porfidio Pena and Elvira Saenz
