Edward Dorne Simmons, age 92, passed away August 23, 2017 at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, California.
Edward was born September 20, 1924 in Mullens, West Virginia to Fred C. Simmons and Carmen Joy Peters.
Edward is survived by his wife, Colleen C. Simmons, his four children James Simmons, Brian (Melva) Simmons, Sheila (Richard) Semana, and Monica Simmons (Tom Azumbrado). He is also survived by daughter-in-law, Betty Grady, brother, Dale Simmons, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, special nephews and niece AJ, Sean and Mary and their families, and family friend Paula Smith.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday September 1, 2017 at St Ann Catholic Church, with visitation starting one hour before Mass.
Holland & Lyons Mortuary, 216 S. Norma, Ridgecrest, California 93555 will be handling the arrangements.
