Flora Zofia Whiting

Flora Zofia Whiting, 88 was a long-time resident of Ridgecrest, past away peacefully in her sleep
February 11, 2022, in Ridgecrest, California. Flora Whiting was born in Portland, Maine March 6, 1934.
Flora was a loving mother and faithful wife. She has earned her wings and now joins William and Hank in
heaven. She dedicated herself to the community of Ridgecrest and the China Lake Naval Weapons
Center at the Ridgecrest Library and many years at the Michaelson Laboratory and the Technical Library
before retiring. Flora enjoyed watching the Golden Girls and now she can laugh alongside them all day.
She is survived by her three children, Diane, Stephen, and John, two daughters-in-law, two
granddaughters, and a great-grand daughter. You will be missed beyond words can describe.
