Georgeanna Alveta Jennings

On July 12, 2018, Georgeanna Alveta Jennings passed away at the age of 78 in Ridgecrest, California. Georgeanna was born on August 21, 1939 to Fred and Anna Cooper in Denver, Colorado. She was a proud Colorado native who lived in many different parts of the state including the mountains, the Eastern Plains and the Front Range. In 2012 she moved to Ridgecrest, CA to be near her daughter.

Georgeanna was a single parent and the first college graduate in her family. Throughout her life, she held retail, fast food, and office clerk and administrative positions, including several years at the City of Denver and at Wells Fargo.

In 1968, Georgeanna married Francis Jennings. They had one daughter, Debra.

Georgeanna is survived by her daughter Debra Jennings and son-in-law Sean Roth; her sisters Velma McKenzie, Charlotte Cooper and Mary McKenzie of Colorado, and Shirley Riley of Michigan; her step-son Mike Jennings; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Georgeanna will be remembered for her thoughtfulness, generosity, faith, humility, fortitude, perseverance, work ethic, and sense of humor. May she rest in peace.
