Gwendolyn Kay Hopkins-Ayers

Gwendolyn Kay Hopkins-Ayers wife of 36 years to John William Ayers, Inyokern California, died in Ridgecrest Hospital on September 17, 2025. She was surrounded by her husband and several close friends. Gwen was born in Wichita Kansas on July 10,1944. She spent the first 40 years of her life growing up and living and working in the Kansas and Springfield, Missouri areas.

Gwen is survived by her husband John Ayers, Son in Law, Jeff Waldow of Ridgecrest, CA and Daughter In Law, Deanne Session and her Husband Steve Session of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by her nephew, Todd Truitt and his family of Montrose, Co and her niece Shanyn Wilson and her family of Temecula, Ca. and many other family members throughout the US.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025, at 11AM at Inyokern Baptist Church 6521 Plains Ave. Inyokern, CA. This has been the church home for John and Gwen for over 29 years.
