Harold Lloyd Bennett, 90, of Sunnyvale, California, passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2025. Born December 23, 1934, in Dora, Missouri, Harold was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, known for his quiet strength, sharp wit, and deep compassion.
A chemical engineering graduate of the Missouri School of Mines, Harold was drafted into the U.S. Army during his studies before returning to complete his degree. He spent 30 years as a dedicated engineer at the China Lake Naval Weapons Center.
Harold had a lifelong love of travel, classical guitar, literature, and film—favorites included The Virginian and The Green Mile.
Guided by his Buddhist beliefs, Harold treated everyone with kindness, regardless of background or beliefs. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Teresa; daughter, Linda; son, Eddie; and granddaughters, Rachel and Briana.
A private memorial will be held. In honor of Harold's life, the family encourages acts of kindness toward others—a value he lived by every day.
