James Davis Gribble

James "Jim" D. Gribble, age 78, of Ridgecrest, CA passed away November 11. He is survived by his loving wife Lillian, stepchildren Frank & Kathy and Pamela, grandchildren Cassandra, Danielle, Vannessa, Austin, Lucas, and Benjamin, siblings John & Barbara, Charles & Judy, Joe & Beth, Tommy & Glenda, Mary Margaret, and Susan, countless nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jim grew up in Kannapolis, NC where he attended A. L. Brown High and continued his education at NC State University earning his Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics . He moved to Ridgecrest in 1974 after marrying Lillian from Huntsville, AL where he worked at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center helping to put the first man on the moon, he eventually began working at NAWCWD for 30+ years and retired in 2008.  He loved mathematics, golf, his cats, Jeopardy, and so much more. He would do anything for his family and friends, giving to charity and church often.  He made everyone who knew him feel welcome and cared for.

Our family is grateful to know that Jim is finally at peace.
