Janavee Lamb

August 3, 1957 — October 27, 2025

Janavee Lamb of Ridgecrest passed away October 27, 2025, at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital. She was 68.

Graveside services will be held 9 AM Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Desert Memorial Park, Ridgecrest CA.

Mrs. Lamb was born August 3, 1957, to Rhea and Nevel Vanover of Idaho. She completed high school in 1975 and had her first child in 1976 and 11 months later had her second child, both beautiful daughters. As she was raising two small children, she went back to school to get her bachelor's degree in business. This is also around the time she met the love of her life and husband, John William Lamb. Meanwhile, she transitioned from her job in a real estate company to working as a contractor for the federal government from 1980, until joining federal service in 1997. She dedicated her life of over 22 years to the federal government in the financial department and retired from the government in 2019.

Mrs. Lamb was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent most of her life taking care of her family and would tirelessly and selflessly make sure all their needs were met prior to herself. She was kind, loving, non-judgemental, and above all honest. In her retired years, she loved watching movies and older tv shows such as The Love Boat and Golden Girls, creating custom jewelry, reading mystery/fantasy, and drinking her Diet Coke but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, enjoying her every moment with her siblings, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. When any of her children or grandchildren needed her, she was always there with open arms and an open mind. When she lost her husband in 2017, she kept his memory alive in the stories she would tell of their love, travels, and other precious memories and would continue to keep his word of "No matter what." and she would frequently say "If you ever get loss, just remember you can always turn around and try again."

She is survived by her four daughters, Monique Vanderpool, Michelle Schwanhauser, Jhonnette Saaty, and Shawntiest Blanche-Haughaboo, her sister Mary Swope, her brother Robert Vanover, with an additional nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Lamb, her parents Nevel Frank and Rhea Mae Vanover, and brother Dean Ray Vanover.
