Jeffrey Alan Allred

October 28, 1954 — October 9, 2021

Jeffrey Alan Allred passed away suddenly on October 9, 2021 while on a weekend getaway to Beatty, Nevada. His cousin, Kristine Allred was by his side.

Construction work brought Jeff to Ridgecrest in 1974. He was an exceptional framer and worked for not only his father (Holiday Construction) and brother (Gary Allred General Contractor) but many other contractors in the valley.

Jeff loved working with his hands. He could be found doing many crafty things with odds and ends that he found. He would build unique things out of scrap wood or metal and did carving/sculpting in wood.  He was known to give his crafts and creations away to family and friends. Jeff could also be found tinkering on his vehicles and boats.

Jeff looked forward to the summer months when he could take his boat to the lake.  Diaz Lake, Klondike Lake, Walker Lake and Lake Mead were a few of his favorite places.

Jeff spent the past few years taking care of his aging father until his father's death. Jeff was a blessing to his family and they are thankful that he was willing and unselfish in caring for his father in his time of need.

Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Jerald N. Allred, his mother, Shirley M. Allred, his sister, Lisa A. Farmer and great nephew, Scott M. Mayhugh.

Jeff is survived by his brothers, Gary Allred (wife Cindy) and Kevin Allred; sister, Bonnie Mayhugh (husband Roy);and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.
