Jeffrey Fletcher was born to Robert C. and Frances Yocom Fletcher on April 18th, 1956 at Riverside Community Hospital. He and his older brother, James, spent their early childhood in the Inland Empire and Arizona. In the early 1970s, Jeff moved to Ridgecrest along with his parents after his father became a civilian contractor onboard the Naval Ordnance Testing Station (NOTS) now known as Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. Jeff graduated from Burroughs high school and attended San Jose State University. After graduation he worked in various positions including school custodian. Jeff was a long-term resident of Ridgecrest having lived here almost continuously for nearly 50 years. He enjoyed operating his ham radio and working as a volunteer with various community groups including the WACOM thrift shop and the Hope Center. Jeff passed away at home in September of 2022.
