Our beloved father, "Mac" Jesse Wayne McAllester, 93, of Ridgecrest, CA, went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2025. He was born on March 11, 1932, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Georgianne McAllester. He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guards from 1950 to 1953, achieving the rank of Boatswain Mate Third Class. He then joined the U.S. Navy in 1954 and retired in 1989, achieving the rank of Command Master Chief. Wayne served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars and was awarded multiple awards including a Korean Service Medal with One Bronze Star, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Service Medal with Four Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service, among many others.
He was a past member of Calvary Assembly of God Church and later joined Crossroads Community Church. He spent his life serving the Lord and helping those in need. He was part of the Men's Missionary Group. He was a respected citizen of the community. He will be missed by his family who loved him deeply. His spirit will live on in our hearts and in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jo (Ervin) McAllester, father, Lonnie, mother, Georgianne, brother, Willard, and sister, Elizabeth. He is survived by his three daughters, Cheri, who is married to Raymond Simon, Tamara, married to the late Mohammad Khalifeh, and Karen, married to the late Mark Horton, eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A celebration of his life will be held on July 12, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Holland & Lyons Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Chuck Hobson, with interment at Desert Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Bill Corley, followed by a reception.
