Passed quietly in his sleep September 26, 2019 in Ridgecrest, California.

He was born on October 21, 1938 in Akron, Colorado and previously lived in Wray, Colorado (1995-2019). He worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Beech Aircraft, Raytheon, North American Rockwell, and Ball Aerospace.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judith; his sons, Tim and his wife Barrie Nelson Hart; and Victor and his wife Loretta Hart. His grandchildren Joseph and his wife Erin Hart; Rae Hart; Jessica and her husband Matthew White; Judi Hart; and Lauren Hart; and his great-grandchildren Gillian, Gage, Blake, Airyanna, Candice, and Chase. Joseph went ahead of his sisters Millie Becker, Mary Berryhill, Betty Haley and his brother, Victor.

A private memorial is being held on October 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Holland & Lyons officiated by Pastor Hoff. There is a private memorial October 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Red Feather, Colorado officiated by Pastor Davis.
