Judith Kathleen Johnson, 72, of Trona, California, passed away peacefully at home on June 20th 2018.
Judith was born December 20th 1945 in Indio, CA. Immediately after her birth she was adopted by Clifford and Lillian Gass of Indio, California. At age 15 was married to Alfred McFarren. She gave birth to her first son February 16th 1964 then was divorced. On April 22nd 1967 she was married to Eugene Johnson for 51 years. She later received her certification as a Licensed Vocational Nurse from Loma Linda Medical University. Later she received certification and licensing for truck driving with Truck Masters School of Trucking. She then went back to high school to get her diploma through the Adult Continuation program and graduated from Trona High School in Trona, California.
She enjoyed painting with Tri-Chem paint and sewing wallets for herself, friends and family. She loved going to country western music concerts her favorites were Marty Stewart, Travis Tritt and Aaron Tippin. She was also actively involved with the Trona Fire Department.
Judith is survived by her husband Eugene and their three son's; Kevin, Michael and Kelly.
Memorial Services will be held Friday June 29th at 2 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church; 502 N Norma, Ridgecrest, CA 93555. There will be a Memorial Potluck following service at 3 p.m. at the home of Dale and Amber Collingwood; 440 Debra Ln., Ridgecrest, CA 93555.
The funeral service will be held Saturday June 30th at 9 a.m. at the Trona Cemetery; 600 W Athol St, Trona, CA 93562. Pastor Kris will be officiating. Funeral arrangements and Memorial Services are being handled by Holland and Lyons Mortuary, 216 S Norma St.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be brought to the service, funeral or mailed to Eugene R Johnson, 13780 Marshall St., Trona, CA 93562. The family of Judith wishes to thank in advance all those who have attended and sent flowers or made donations for her burial. They also want to thank Holland and Lyons Mortuary for assisting during the family's time of grieving.
