Keith Eugene Sayre

Keith Eugene Sayre passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024, in San Dimas, CA
surrounded by his family. He was blessed with 95 years of life. Keith was born on
September 6, 1928, in Scranton, Iowa to James and Leonilla Sayre. He was the
third of eight children. He moved to Trona, CA after his discharge from the army

where he met and married June Russell on October 10, 1953. Keith and June
celebrated 70 years of marriage last October 10, 2023. Keith worked for the
chemical plants in Trona for over 35 years as a utility craftsman. Keith was a
lifelong Dodgers fan! He is survived by his wife, June; four daughters – Debbie
(Chuck) Baker of Greer, South Carolina; Catherine Sayre of Inyokern, CA; Mary
(Bob) Wilhelm of Menifee, CA; and Patrice (Mark) Toyota of Chino Hills, CA. He
was very proud of his nine grandchildren: Beth Ann Baker, Caitlin (Aaron) Carl,
John (Kelsey)Baker, Ashley(David Blasco) Sayre, Courtney (Chris) Sayre,
Brandon Wilhelm, Dorothy (Joshua) Varkel, Craig (Ronica) Toyota, and Derick
Toyota. He cherished his five great grandchildren: Easton, Logan, and Graham
Carl of Mesa, AZ; Emarie and Liana Toyota of Chino Hills, CA. He is also
survived by his sister, Wanda (Chuck) Hudson of McKinleyville, CA; as well as
many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Eugene
Sayre, Jr., his parents and six of his siblings.

A funeral Mass celebrating Keith's
life will be held on August 16, 2024, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church –
14085 Peyton Dr., Chino Hills, CA 91709 – at 11 AM.
