Kelly Denton Rice

Kelly Denton Rice was born March 18, 1967 in San Luis Obispo, Ca to Calvin Vernon and Christina Marie (Harlas) Rice. He left us on February 8, 2022.

Kelly was the youngest of six children with five older sisters. He spent most of his life  in the Indian Wells Valley; primarily growing up in Inyokern. Kelly was a wanderer and definitely paved his own way. he always said he wanted to be a Hobo, "I just want to be a hobo" was his favorite saying. Most of his employment was in the heating and air conditioning field, a trade he learned from his dad and uncles at the family business of Rice Heating and Air Conditioning.

He attend both Groves and Inyokern Elementary schools, Murray Jr Hight and Mesquite High School.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents Calvin Vernon and Christina Marie Rice, his two oldest sisters Mary Lou Kelley and Gail Alice Curtis and his great nephew Grayson Riley Berry.

Kelly is survived by his sisters Lisa (Danny) Grossardt, Tamy Rice and Verna (Philip) Berry. Lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Kelly on February 19, 2022 at the Inyokern Park from 1:00-3:00 PM.
