Kenneth Runardo Garvin

Kenneth Runardo Garvin was born to Samuel and Miranda Ford on February 4, 1985 in Columbus,
Georgia. He was the second of four children. Kenny, as he was lovingly called by family and friends,
spent the first four years of his life in Columbus. The family then moved to Ridgecrest, California in 1989
as a result of his Dad's Navy assignment to China Lake, California. Kenny attended Groves Elementary
and James Monroe Middle School. He graduated from Mesquite High School.

Kenny accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He initially attended Union Missionary
Baptist Church where he served in the Youth Usher Ministry. Kenny later became a member of Victory
Baptist Church. He loved basketball and family gatherings. He was quite the jokester and kept his family
laughing. Kenny was an avid reader and earned several certificates in business.
Kenny is preceded in death by his brother, Hakeem Ford, his maternal grandmother, Laura Garvin,
paternal grandparents, Moses Ford, Sr. and Bernice Starke Ford, aunts, Teresa Nixon, Myrtice McCall,
and Emma Ford, and uncle, Mussa Abdula.

Kenny leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Amara Ford of Ridgecrest, California; parents, Samuel
and Miranda Ford of Ridgecrest, California; brothers, Samuel Garvin (Andretta) of Ridgecrest, California
and Marquis Ford of Youngtown, Arizona; nieces, Jamanda Garvin and Shanyia Garvin both of
Ridgecrest, California, Jayda Ford, Zarahia Ford, and Nala Ford, all of Youngtown, Arizona; maternal
grandfather, Albert Garvin of Dorchester, South Carolina; aunts, April Johnson of Parrot, Georgia,
Mozelle Bams of Columbus, Georgia, Martha Grafton of Columbus, Georgia, Glenda Ford of Columbus,
Georgia, and Evelyn Porch of Columbus, Georgia; uncles, Eric Garvin of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Ezekial
Abdula of Atlanta, Georgia; close family friend, Diamond Walters; and a host of cousins and friends.
