Leslie Earl Caffee, 75, died 20 March 2019 at his home in Eagle, Idaho. His graveside memorial service will be held 15 June 2019, 10:00 a.m. at Desert Memorial Park in Ridgecrest, California.
Les was born 3 November 1943, in Lone Pine, California, to Eunice and Creighton Caffee. Raised in Inyo County where he attended school Kern County was home except for the past 2 ½ years and time away in the military.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts from University of California Bakersfield, and retired from China Lake after a successful career as a Project Manager. He served in the U.S. Army from 29 May 1962 until 28 May 1965, which included a one year tour in Korea. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting, horses, and flying. Because of his love of horses and the outdoors, his grandchildren affectionately called him "Grampa Cowboy."
He is survived by his wife, Oxana Caffee of Eagle, Idaho; his brother Terry (Lorene) Caffee of Inyokern, California; sister Barbara (Ed) Lasky of Eagle, Idaho; his three sons Vincent (Jennifer) Caffee of San Luis Obispo, California; Clinton Caffee of Beaverton, Oregon, and Brian (Kelly) Caffee of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren Isabel, Julianna, and Micah Caffee, Darian, Keely, and Ash Caffee, and Joshua, Jason, Lauren, and Katelyn Caffee; as well as one niece and three nephews.
