Linda Margaret Harless

Linda Margaret Harless (Hord) passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the age of 82.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, Harless, her parents, William Harold and Madeline Blanche Hord, her Sister Carol Ann Hodgson (Hord),sons Pete Pryor and Kenneth J.  Coxwell as well as many other beloved family and friends.

Linda is survived by her three children daughters,LISA Carrol Hungerford (Pryor)and Madeline Connette Littleton (Harless)Her son William Harold Harless and wife Corinne Harless.

Linda was blessed to have 13 grandchildren, Debbie and Shane Gay, Amanda Ernest, William Ernest and wife Stacy, Sean and Nikki Coxwell, Linda Sandoval (Graus) and husband David Sandoval, Severn Graus and wife Talia Graus, Michaela Vanbrunt, Damian and Cristianna Harless, Megan Flatman (Davis)and Matthew Davis as well as 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Linda was born in Pasadena California in 1941 but soon moved to the desert. She lived in Trona California for a time where her father worked for Trona Railroad. Eventually, the family moved to Johannesburg, California where her parents bought and ran a store and a  movie theater, her mother Madeline was also the postmaster there. She graduated from Ransburg high school in the late 1950s after that she lived in Bakersfield California where she met her husband Clyde Harless. Linda loved the desert so years later her and Clyde moved to ridgecrest in 1981 where she managed the Terrible Herbst gas station while her husband did flooring in and around the base. They moved back to Bakersfield for a time where eventually they began managing a mini storage together. After that, they finally moved back to Ridgecrest where they managed American mini storage until her retirement in 2013. Linda then moved back to Bakersfield to be near family and enjoyed being a school crossing guard until 2020. She loved to read and crochet. She loved her dog peanut dearly and loved spending time with her family.

She will be truly missed.
