Linda Ileene Salser

Linda Ileene Salser passed away peacefully at High Desert Haven on Monday, August
8, 2022 at the age of 73. She was born in Downey, California, to parents John and
Frances Salser (nee Bent) on September 7, 1948. While she was an only child, she has
extended family living in California, South Dakota, and Maryland. She married David
Jester in 1971 in Long Beach, California, and they later moved to Hemet, California.
Together they had one child, a beautiful daughter, Rebecca, on April 12, 1976. Linda
would eventually live alone with Rebecca in Ridgecrest, California, providing for her
needs. Linda was an active member at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Ridgecrest for
over thirty years. She loved to sing and was always in the church choir. She also
participated in the Ridgecrest community choir singing Handel's Messiah. She was a
faithful civil service employee at China Lake Navy Base in California for 26 years
working as an office manager and then security technician. She also enjoyed her
volunteer work at Ridgecrest Regional hospital participating in the Pink Ladies
program. Linda is survived by her daughter Rebecca. A memorial service will take place
at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 725 N. Fairview St., Ridgecrest, California, at 11 AM
on Saturday, August 20, 2022 with a luncheon to follow.
