Lynn David Collie

Lynn David Collie, 81, unexpectedly passed away at home on January 8, 2025. He was a beloved father, husband, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Lynn, or "Butch", was born January 5, 1944 in Van Nuys, Ca. to Burton and Katherine Collie, but moved to Ridgecrest where he spent his formative years and rest of his life to the end. Lynn graduated from BHS in 1962, and achieved his Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Arizona. While attending BHS, he met the love of his life and soul mate, Anna Mullins. They were inseparable for over 60 years. Lynn is survived by his sister, Melissa Slater, his three children, Lisa Collie-Pittman (Alvin Cheek), Brian Collie (Adelle Collie) and Kevin Collie, his grandchildren, Cody Pittman, Zack Collie and Tara Collie and his niece, Gaynell Schilling and her daughters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Collie, and his parents, Burton and Katherine Collie. Lynn could be found behind the counter at Center Pharmacy for decades, often displaying his jovial personality while addressing the concerns of his customers.

If Lynn wasn't filling prescriptions, he could be found participating in many community organizations or volunteering his time at charitable events including: Burrough's Boosters, Habitat for Humanity, Friends of the Fair and Desert Moon Productions. Family time was always his first priority, whether he was coaching on a soccer field, riding jet skis with his kids, or driving his Razor on a dusty trial with Anna and friends. Throughout his life, Lynn made a positive impact on the lives of many, helping others reach their full potential. We will miss you dearly, but happy you are home!

Lynn will be put to rest on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Desert Memorial Park with a graveside service at 10:00 am.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the Elk's Lodge at 1:00 pm
