Ridgecrest

Marietta Vera Pinchem (Waller), a Ridgecrest resident of 53 years, passed away at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital on July 28 th , 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. She was 93.

Marietta was born in Duarte, California on September 17 th , 1927 and was the baby of six children to Elmer Waller and Methel Waller (Cabble). Marietta meet and shortly after married Glen Pinchem on December 1 st , 1945. One thing for certain about Marietta was that she loved the Lord and he was her savior. In Marietta's lifetime she worked numerous types of jobs from janitorial to housekeeping, but her greatest accomplishment in employment was working for her dearest friend Dr. Larry Jackson as an administrative assistant at the Ridgecrest Animal Hospital where she retired after 25 years.  Marietta and Glen were known to the community as Ma and Pa Pinchem, their doors were always open and many friends quickly became family. Some of the funniest times in Marietta's life was spent with family, she and Glen passed on the importance of unplugging to their family through fishing and camping trips but her favorite past time was going "Ching Chinging" with her children. Throughout their years together Marietta and Glen enjoyed traveling and made memories in some of the following places; Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Utah, and Kansas City.

Marietta was an angel on earth who always was willing to help and encourage others even when she had to be stern to steer you back on the right path, it was done with love. Marietta was loved by many and will be greatly missed by her three sons Eddie Pinchem (Sandra), Barry Pinchem (Nina) and Albert Pinchem, five daughters Shelia Pinchem, Glenda Cubit (Verily), Colleen White (Clifford), Pamela Celestine (Eddie), and Denise Moore (Greg). Marietta had 22 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. Marietta was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, one son Marshall Pinchem, one step-son Glen Pinchem, two daughters Gloria Pinchem and Yvonne Washington (Pinchem), and one grandson Cedric Pinchem.

Marietta did not want a funeral so we are honoring her wishes. The family will hold a private memorial. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for your expressions of love, kind words and support through this very difficult time.
