Marion "Boz" Hunsaker

March 23, 1928 — November 28, 2022

Marion Dorthea Hunsaker known as "Boz" to friends and family, died peacefully yet unexpectedly on November
28, 2022 at the age of 94. She lived a long and full life. She loved her family first and foremost.
She looked for every opportunity to organize and have big family get togethers, she enjoyed eating out with
friends, and having yard sales. She loved playing Bingo and going to the casino in Bishop spending hours on "her"
machine, while admiring the scenery going to and from. She was also very proud to be an American.
Marion was born on March 23, 1928 in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. She came to California with her family
in 1942, settling in Anaheim. She graduated from Anaheim Union High School in 1946.
She married Glenn David Hunsaker on her 19 th birthday in 1947. Glenn gained employment as a China Lake
fireman, bringing his wife and 4 children to the Inyokern/Ridgecrest area in 1961. He soon became a China Lake
police officer where he served until his retirement. They were married 58 years until his death in 2005. She was a
homemaker and a "We Care" volunteer helping those in need, especially the home bound. She wrote a newsletter,
and newspaper articles reporting the current events and activities of the Inyokern Senior Center. She was a
property manager at "Lane Haven Mobile Home Park" in the Buttermilk Acers area and spent a short time in
Barstow, Calif managing the Buena Vista Apartments before retiring in 1990 and returning to Ridgecrest.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Hunsaker, son Randy Hunsaker, grandson Randy Hunsaker Jr.,
granddaughter Shawn Wamshur; by her parents, Erich Clodt and Mildred Hunsaker; her stepfather Hugh "Dusty"
Hunsaker; brother Robert "Bud" Clodt, and sisters Betty Mullins, Donna McLeod, Marlene Mason, and Karen, Austin.

Marion is survived by her sons, Steve (Jane) Hunsaker, and Moe (Cindy) Hunsaker, of Ridgecrest, CA and her
daughter Sue Hunsaker of The Villages, FL
In addition, she is survived by her brothers, Richard (Geri) Clodt, Ron (Iona "Sam") Clodt of Inyokern, CA and
Dennis (Connie) Clodt of Ridgecrest, CA; along with 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 great-great
grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.


There will be a graveside service on Saturday, Dec 17th at 1:00 pm at Desert Memorial Park, 801 San Bernardino
Blvd., Ridgecrest, CA. A reception will follow at Ridgecrest Church of the Nazarene, 571 N. Norma St.
Her favorite charities included Wounded Warriors and Tunnel to Towers.
