CAPT Mark Storch, USN (ret.), 69, passed away in Los Angeles on September 10, 2026 surrounded by his family. Mark was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and served 31 years in the United States Navy. His career as a Naval Aviator took him and his wife all around the globe. They were elated to have NAWS China Lake as his next duty station in 2002 and have called this desert town home ever since. 

He was a devoted husband and loving father with a genuine passion for helping others. He loved spending time outdoors and with his family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generous and loving spirit, and devotion to God and his country. 

Mark is preceded in death by his father, William Storch, and is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Storch; mother, Nancy Storch; and children, Philipp Storch and Perrin Haase.
