Mary Jane Kilburn

Mary Jane Kilburn a long-time resident of Ridgecrest passed away on September 7 ^th , 2021. At the age of 89. Just 16 days shy of her 90 ^th birthday. Mary Jane was born in Mt. Morris Michigan and spent most of her life in California. She resided in Ridgecrest from 1980 to her passing. Mary Jane and her husband Wayne operated the McDonald's franchise in Ridgecrest from 1980 to 1997. They then opened Red's Backwoods BBQ restaurant. Between 1980 and 2004 Wayne and Mary Jane were very active in the community events and held numerous fundraisers to benefit many nonprofits in the community. Mary Jane had a smile that would light up a room, her upbeat energy was magical. She loved to dance and would do so every chance she got. She is dancing in heaven now. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, and her parents. She is survived by her son Brad, daughter Dawn, Grandson Jason, Grandson Joseph, Great Grandchildren Jade, Jarred, June, Ava, Adeline, Niece Leslie (Greg), Beloved friend Kim, sister in laws Sandra(Spiros), Mary Ester(Art), Shirley(Terry), Theresa(Heiko), brother-in-law Henry(Ruth).

Viewing will be held at Holland &Lyons Mortuary in Ridgecrest California Tuesday September 14 ^th from 4pm to 5pm. Graveside service on Wednesday September 15 ^th at Desert Memorial Cemetery in Ridgecrest at Noon.
