Longtime resident Maryann McJunkin, 88, died February 22, 2024 at Bella Sera. She was born November 20, 1935 in Columbus, Montana to Charles and Edna Foley on November 20, 1935. A 1953 graduate of Columbus High School she dreamed of becoming a nurse. In 1955 she met a former Marine Kaye "Mac"McJunkin and married January 7, 1956. Kaye remained the love of her life long after their 35 years together. So began her life as a wife and mother of 6 children: Carol, Cheryl, Dirk, Roxanne, Andrea and Donovan. Which would blossom into 13 grandkids and 14 great-grandkids who she shared her love of board games with.
Married life started in a travel trailer job hopping Montana's missle silos. A move to Missouri in 1962 didn't last as they returned to Montana briefly before her first plane trip with 5 kids to California in 1964.
Maryann was a wonderful mother and a master of multi-tasking a busy home. She loved being a mother and her kids world was her world. Maryann was a wonderful cook and baking homemade bread, pies and cakes always needed a pinch more of something.
Maryann was preceded in life by her husband Kaye, son-in-law Tom Keichline, daughter-in-law Kathy McJunkin, her parents and siblings Shirley, Kathleen and Patrick.
Maryann is survived by her six children:
Carol Fine (Lee), Cheryl Nelson (Mark),
Dirk, Roxanne Keichline, Andrea Aulds (Jerry) and Donovan (Chrissy). Grand children: John, Kyle, Christopher, Mathew, Tamara, Stacie, Shawn, Kelsey, Steffanie, Katy, Trey, Colton, Colin; their eight chosen ones and fourteen great grandkids. As well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
