Megan Heather Simmons

June 19, 1990 — March 20, 2025

Ridgecrest

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Megan Heather Simmons on March 20, 2025, after a courageous eleven-year battle with bladder cancer. Megan was born on June 19, 1990 in Los Angeles, relocating to Ridgecrest as a beautiful 3-week-old infant. Megan is survived by her loving husband Austin, her daughter Joelle, brothers Danny and Brian, and her parents Richard and Bobbi Rohrlick.

Megan was a deeply caring, passionate person with a big heart and courage of her convictions. Growing up, her strong will and work ethic led her to become a talented dancer, basketball player, cheerleader, cheerleading coach, role model, and loyal friend to many. Since graduating from Burroughs High School, Class of 2008, Megan dedicated a thriving career in sales and financial competency support. At this time, Megan would then meet Austin Simmons. The two married June 14, 2014, and together built a family with their beloved daughter Joelle. Megan's journey as a loving wife and mother also coincided with her journey with cancer, where her courage to fight would become an inspiration for many.

A memorial service to honor Megan's life will be held on Friday April 4th, 2025 - 10:00 AM

at Calvary Chapel (210 East Springer Ave, Ridgecrest, CA) followed by a Celebration of Life

Reception at the fairgrounds held in Joshua Hall.
