Mildred Burk, of Ridgecrest, was a beloved grandmother and mother during her 75 years
of life. She recently passed away on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022.
Mildred was born in Ohio to the late Philip and Mildred Wuest. Shortly after she was
born, her family moved to Ridgecrest where she spent the majority of her life. She
worked at NAWS China Lake as an accountant and retired after 30 years on the job.
She was very outgoing and loved visiting with family and friends. After retirement, she
loved keeping busy by driving around town talking with people, spending time with her
grandkids, and visiting with friends at the senior center almost every day. She was also a
devoted member of the Catholic community in Ridgecrest and faithfully attended the All
Faith Chapel for many years.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Patricia Troxell, her brothers and sisters Theresa
Thomason, Larry Wuest, Betsy Semancik, and Jerry Wuest; her 13 grandchildren Shane
Troxell, Brandon Troxell, Chad Troxell, Trey Troxell, Crystal Ottley, Cody Marx,
Cheyenne Marx, Aunica Burk, Whitney Burk, Jonell Saenz, Kimberly Bracken, Alden
Burk, Bailey Burk, and her many great-grandchildren as well.
Visitation for Mildred will be held at Holland and Lyons Mortuary at 5-7 pm on Monday,
April 25th. There will be a rosary held at the visitation, starting at 5pm. A funeral mass
will then be held at St Ann Catholic Church the following day on April 26th, at 11 am.
