Mildred Suzanne Estes

Mildred (Sue) Suzanne Estes, age 89, of Ridgecrest, California, passed
away on February 7, 2022. She was born to the late George Madison
Thatcher and Lucille Pearlette Thatcher (Smith) on April 28, 1932, in
Bakersfield, California.
Sue was a loving mother and homemaker. She raised six children and
built her life around caring for them. She was a talented quilter and loved
to crochet in her younger years. Later in life, she spent most of her time
with her family and lived with two of her daughters. She never wanted to
be anything more than being a mother.
Sue is survived by her son Lawrence Thatcher (Ginger) of Weldon, David
Thatcher (Kimmie) of Inyokern, Scott Thatcher (Diane) of Tehachapi and
Shantell Utley (Chris) of Ridgecrest and son-in-law Chuck Mullen of Lake
Isabella. She is also survived by grandchildren Lawrence Thatcher,
Rebecca Rock, Jeremy Mullen, Kristel Greene, Ryan Thatcher, Davin
Vculek, Eric Vculek, Justin Thatcher, Katelyn Thatcher, and Matthew
Sherfey. She also has many great-grandchildren and great-great-
grandchildren.
Sue was preceded in death by ex-husbands Lawrence Thatcher and
Ronnie Estes, daughters Susan Vculek and Joy Mullen, and sisters Mabel
Cobb and Goergie Simmons.
