Obituary

Nadine Faye Couillard, born on November 2, 1956, in San Gabriel, California, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, in Ridgecrest, California, with her husband by her side. Throughout her life, Nadine was known for her commitment to others, making a significant impact as a beloved medical assistant. She served the local medical facilities and provided in-home care for many individuals in the Ridgecrest area from 1999 to 2008, during which time she was known as Nadine Tedder.

Nadine’s career was characterized by her compassionate spirit and dedication to her patients. Her rapport with those she assisted was built on mutual respect, a value she upheld fervently, often standing up for strangers who faced disrespect. Beyond her professional life, Nadine’s personality shone brightly. She was known for her stylish appearance, often opting for cost-effective yet fashionable clothing and shoes that reflected her attention to detail. Her artistic tastes extended into her home, where she created a tranquil and peaceful environment, decorating each room in vibrant, coordinated colors that flowed harmoniously.

An ardent lover of nature, Nadine cherished her time outdoors, where she toiled to craft unique landscaping that served as a personal showcase. Her passion for gardening was surpassed only by her deep affection for her dogs, whom she treated as children. Nadine had an exceptional connection with her black Pug, Lucy, often communicating with her in gentle tones and thoughtful commands that demonstrated her understanding of their bond.

In her personal life, Nadine met her beloved husband, Michael H. Couillard, in 2008. Their love blossomed, leading to a marriage on November 11, 2011, and the couple became inseparable companions through life’s journey. Nadine is survived by her husband, Michael, her sons, Steven and David Rodgers, her brothers, George Pierce of Texas and Jack Pierce, and her cherished dog, Lucy.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Dorothea Pierce, as well as her two adored dogs, Crystal and Diamond. Nadine Faye Couillard leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love that will be remembered fondly by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In Lieu of formal services Nadine asked her husband to convey that she would like donations made to Bishop Veterinary Clinic in her and her pups names.
