Nicholasa "Betty" Torres

Nicholasa (Betty) Torres passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on July 4, 2022, at home with her family by her side.

Born May 16, 1925, in Scranton Pennsylvania, her parents immigrated here from Spain.  She married Manuel (Argie) Torres on December 14, 1952 and began her career as a military wife living in many different states and retiring in Riverside CA in 1965.  In 1971, the family transferred to Ridgecrest, CA where Betty resided.

Betty loved the Lord, enjoyed life to the fullest and blessed many people.

She sold Avon for many years and received many awards.  Her most precious time was spent with family.  Sunday dinners and holidays spent together were a must!

Betty leaves behind 4 children, Rex & Ruth Torres, Regina Torres and Roz Fraker, Renee & Jeff Sorenson, and Rhonda & John Makowski.  She has 6 grandchildren and was called GiGi by her 8 great grandchildren.

Service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at The Salvation Army, 151 N Downs, Ridgecrest, CA at 10:30am.  There will be no reception following service.
